Wondering how to get started with SPC’s Kids’ Club? We’ve got the answers!
How do I join?
SPC CU Kids’ Club Accounts operate in conjunction with a parent or legal guardian’s SPC membership. To open an account, bring your Social Security card and that of the future Kids’ Club member–plus their proof of identification–into any SPC branch. As a reminder, membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Darlington, Florence, Marlboro, or Chesterfield counties.
Does the parent or legal guardian have access to the account?
Yes! The account will be set up under joint ownership between the parent or legal guardian and the Kids’ Club member.
Is there a minimum balance?
Yes, a $5 deposit is required to open the account and must be maintained in a savings account in order to retain an open account status.
Are there any fees?
None! No strings attached!
GOT ANY "A"s? Event FAQ
Do I need an SPC account to participate?
Yes! The reward is deposited directly into an SPC Kids’ Club account. If your child doesn’t have one yet, June is the perfect time to open one and start their financial wellness journey!
What ages is this for?
The GOT ANY "A"s promo is for ages 6 to 12.
Can I walk out with the cash today?
To help our younger members learn about the power of saving, the reward is a direct deposit into their account rather than a cash payout.
Do I have to bring the original report card?
You can bring the original, a copy, or even show it to us digitally on your phone (if you bring it digitally, please forward it to the teller/SSA you're working with!) We just need to verify the year-end cumulative grades.
Does it have to be the final report card?
Yes, we are looking at the year-end cumulative grades to celebrate all the hard work put in throughout the entire school year.
When can I bring the report card in?
The promo runs from June 1st through June 30th. Make sure to stop by before the end of the month!
Which branches are participating?
All of them! You can visit us in Hartsville, Darlington, Florence, Bennettsville, or Cheraw to trade those As for cash.
My child’s account was opened by their other parent/grandparent and I’m not on it. Can I still bring the report card in and have the money deposited?
Since it is a deposit into the account (and not a withdrawal), any guardian can bring the report card in! We’ll just need the child’s name and their member number or Social Security Number (SSN) to locate the account.
What if my student doesn't receive traditional letter or number grades?
We accept letter grades that are equivalent to an "A"!
