Member Alert: TruStage Insurance Cybersecurity Incident

TruStage, an insurance & protection products provider for SPC Credit Union and its Members, is actively responding to a cybersecurity incident that has affected its technology environment. The organization proactively shut down their network to help contain the issue. Their incident response team has activated recovery efforts and engaged external cybersecurity experts to assist with containment, remediation, and recovery efforts.

PLEASE NOTE: SPC Credit Union’s core system, digital banking services, card services, and Member accounts HAVE NOT BEEN DIRECTLY IMPACTED by this incident. This incident is limited to TruStage’s systems and services.

At this time, TruStage has not indicated that member personal information was accessed, acquired, or misused as a result of this incident. TruStage's investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be provided as it becomes available. We encourage Members to remain vigilant and exercise caution when responding to unsolicited phone calls, emails, or text messages requesting personal or financial information. Fraudsters may attempt to take advantage of this situation by impersonating TruStage or other trusted organizations. Members should avoid clicking links or providing sensitive information unless they have independently verified the source.
