Share Certificate

A Share Certificate is an investment instrument designed to help those who do not require immediate access to funds to take advantage of higher rates of return on their investments. SPC Share Certificate dividends are competitive with rates in the Certificate of Deposit market. Share Certificates are available with maturity dates of 6, 12, 18, 30 or 48 months.

Individual Retirement Accounts

SPC IRAs help members prepare for a comfortable, financially secure retirement. Members may be able to shelter a portion of current earned income from Federal taxes until the year that the funds are withdrawn. As an added benefit there is no service fee for SPC IRAs. IRAs are insured separately to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.

SPC offers Traditional, Education, and Roth IRAs. We also offer several types of investment options including a fixed IRA share certificate and a variable rate IRA share account.

Deposits to IRAs may be made by payroll deduction, cash, deposit, or transfer from other credit union accounts. As with all of SPC's savings accounts, dividend rates are competitive.

The IRS may penalize early withdrawals from an IRA. SPC does not penalize for early withdrawals from a variable rate share IRA account. Please consult your tax advisor for specifics on deductibility and tax consequences of all IRA accounts.
